Abstract

ABSTRACT

In school-aged children, dental and oral health problems are important issues because they not only cause pain but can also spread infections to other parts of the body, leading to decreased productivity. This condition can reduce school attendance, interfere with learning concentration, affect appetite and food intake, and ultimately result in impaired physical growth. Generally, when children enter school age, they have a high risk of dental caries because at this age children tend to frequently consume snacks and beverages according to their own preferences (Gunawan, 2013).
