Abstract

ABSTRACT

                Preschool age is a critical developmental stage that determines a child’s motor, language, cognitive, social, and emotional abilities. Parents, as the primary caregivers, play a crucial role in providing appropriate stimulation according to developmental needs. However, in Tebat Ijuk Dili Village, Depati VII District, many parents still lack adequate knowledge and display less supportive parenting attitudes, which may contribute to developmental delays in children. This study aims to analyze the relationship between parental knowledge and parenting attitudes with the development of preschool-aged children in Tebat Ijuk Dili. This research utilized a literature review approach by analyzing child development theories and previous studies. The findings indicate a significant relationship between parental knowledge, parenting attitudes, and child development. Continuous parental education is highly recommended to optimize early childhood development.
